A model rejected my photo with a face
Why it happens, whether credits are refunded and which model to choose for portraits.
Some model providers restrict work with photorealistic faces — even if it is your own photo or a generated portrait. In that case the model rejects the request.
What about credits
Credits for such a rejection go back to your balance, and it does not count as a rules violation. It doesn’t mean something is wrong with your photo: that particular model simply doesn’t work with such frames.
What to do
- Choose another model. Seedance 2.0 does not accept frames with photorealistic faces at all; for portraits we recommend Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0.
- In “Multiple photos” mode the form suggests a model that works with faces.
- Watch for the warning in the form: it appears in advance when the selected model may reject a portrait.
If a model keeps rejecting an ordinary portrait, don’t keep trying new wordings: many rejections in a short time pause generations automatically. Switch models instead.
