Sound effects
Noises, effects and loops from a text description.
Standalone sounds — footsteps, rain, city noise, a whoosh for a transition — are made by ElevenLabs SFX and Stable Audio in the “Audio & voice” tab.
How to describe a sound
- name the source and setting: “footsteps on gravel in a forest”, “rain on a car roof”;
- add character: loudness, distance, duration, build-up or fade-out;
- ElevenLabs SFX takes shorter descriptions — up to 450 characters.
Sound for a specific clip
If you need sound in sync with your video, use the “Sound for video” tab instead: the model watches the clip and picks noises to match the action. See Sound for an existing video.
What to do with the result
The finished sound is saved in “My generations” and can be downloaded. To put it on a video, use “Audio merge”: choose the clip and the track, and set an offset if needed.
As with other models, the price is shown on the run button before you start.
