First, last and intermediate frames

How to set how the clip starts and ends, and add frames in between.

First and last frames give you control over the story: the model fills in the motion between two pictures. This works well for transitions, before/after transformations and smooth scene changes.

Last frame

The “Last frame” field appears only for models that support it, and only after you have added a first frame. Currently: Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro, Hailuo 02, Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Lite, Seedance 2.0, Wan 2.7, Kling 3.0, Kling 2.6 Pro, Kling O3 Pro, Seedance 1.5 Pro, MiniMax H3, PixVerse V6, Veo 3.1 Fast, Luma Ray 3.2, FLUX 3 Video, Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0. The last frame does not change the price.

Intermediate frames

Some models (Pika 2.2, Luma Ray 3.2, FLUX 3 Video) also accept “Intermediate frames”: click “+ Add frame” and set the second it should appear at, or leave it on “auto”. Including the first and last, up to 6 frames.

Tips

  • Use frames with the same aspect ratio and similar lighting — the transition will look more natural.
  • Describe in the prompt what happens between the frames: camera movement, the character’s action.
  • Pika 2.2 builds the clip from transitions between frames, so it needs a last frame.
The “How to use images” switch lets you choose between “Frames” and “Multiple photos” — see Video from several photos.
